$Id: README,v 1.2 2005/10/31 22:17:14 sra Exp $ This is a patch to autocd to enable automatically running some progam (eg, abcde, or cdrecord, or any other external program you like) for processing non-ISO9660 CDs under autocd. autocd's default handling of an audio CD is to play it, which is almost never what I want (I use the stereo for that). I use this as an easy way of running abcde to make .mp3 files for the flash-based device I carry onto airplanes instead of that huge stack of plastic disks. In theory one could use this to make a backup when ever one inserted a blank disk into a burner, or some other creative use I haven't considered. Disclaimer: Use responsibly. Obey all relevant traffic laws. Don't use this patch to annoy people with lawyers, and if you do annoy people with lawyers, don't pretend I encouraged you. No warrantee expressed or implied. If this patch breaks, you get to keep both pieces. Note: autocd includes an "eject" program, which abcde can use, except that abcde is a bit confused about what arguments eject takes on particular operating systems (sigh). This is an abcde problem, but you can work around it by pointing the EJECT variable in your abcde.conf file at a shell script that modifies or ignores the arguments it receives from abcde and calls autocd's eject properly.
